Behavioral Health Changes for Arkansas - March 2024

IA and EIDT Q&A
Thank you for your participation in the webinar held Friday, May 17, 2024. Instructions were provided in the webinar directing EIDT providers to return the DMS-642 ER form to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) if the developmental tool used section was not complete. The memorandum distributed Friday, May 31, 2024, supersedes the directions provided on the webinar. The DMS-642 ER form has been updated with a yes or no check box for the PCP to complete for the developmental screening. The form does require the PCP to list the tool used; however, if the yes box is checked and includes a date within the last 12 months, then the DMS-642 ER is still valid regardless of the name of the tool entered and even if a tool is not entered. In that situation, the EIDT provider is not required to send the form back to the PCP and may move forward with the evaluations.
